Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FutureU ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using FutureU in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use FutureU.

1. What FutureU is

FutureU is an AI-powered tool that helps Canadian students explore university programs, college diplomas, and career paths based on their personal answers to a survey. Our recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as a starting point for your research — not as professional academic, legal, or financial advice.

Important: FutureU recommendations do not guarantee admission to any university or college. Admission decisions are made entirely by the institutions themselves. Always verify program requirements, deadlines, and admission averages directly with the school.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use FutureU. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian to use this service and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

When you create an account you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure and not sharing it with anyone
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate information when signing up
  • Notifying us immediately at Futureusupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payments and refunds

One-time report ($9 CAD): Gives you permanent access to your full survey results. Due to the digital nature of this product, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds once your results have been generated and delivered.

Pro subscription ($8 CAD/month): Gives you access to all features including both tools, retaking the survey, and the career path finder when it launches. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again but you will retain access until the period ends.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes where required by law.

5. AI recommendations disclaimer

Our recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and are based solely on the answers you provide in the survey. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI recommendations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
  • Program availability, admission requirements, and tuition fees change regularly — always check directly with the school
  • FutureU is not liable for any decisions you make based on our recommendations
  • We are not a registered educational institution, guidance counselor, or admissions consultant
  • Using FutureU does not improve or affect your chances of admission to any school

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use FutureU for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content or AI outputs for commercial use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt our systems
  • Submit false or misleading information to manipulate AI results
  • Resell or redistribute your FutureU results without our written permission
  • Use automated tools to submit surveys or create accounts in bulk

7. Intellectual property

Everything on FutureU — including our brand, design, code, copy, and AI-generated content — is owned by FutureU or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of it without our written permission.

Your survey answers remain yours. By submitting them you grant us a limited license to use them to generate your recommendations and to improve our AI system in an anonymized form.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, FutureU and its founders are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service — including but not limited to wrong program choices, missed application deadlines, or academic outcomes.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of FutureU is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Availability

We aim to keep FutureU available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by downtime.

10. Third party links

FutureU may include links to university and college websites, scholarship resources, and other third party sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Visiting them is at your own risk.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of FutureU after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
